GEOMETRY FOR DUMMIES

In a non-collinear
bravery of three,
house finch flush
from viburnum

Three faces of Eve
stained with varied fruit

You are oblique, I acute--
the spouse is obtuse

Triangulations ratchet,
so posit a wheel--
to crank, crash:
a textbook burn

  1. Oh dear :-)

I love how much weight each word carries in your poems. I find myself mouthing "crank, crash," and sucking on the marrow of those two words for a long time.

  2. (my word verification was "nonce"! I kid you not.)

  3. Who needs Chinese characters in a world with anti-spam prompts, eh? "Nonce" is wonderful, although difficult to use without the modern fillip of insouciance and Noel Cowardism.
